Can I have a home carer on an evening or weekend?

Yes, we work 365 days a year, 24 hours a day providing premium care services tailored to your needs.

What type of visits can I have?

Every care package we do is tailored to you and your needs. We will come to your home to assess your requirements and discuss what you would like to get from the service. We can then create a care plan that is perfect for you.

Can I trust a carer in my home?

Yes, our carers undergo strict reference and DBS checks before we send them to you. The majority of our carers have been with us for many years and really are one of the family. We believe that client carer relationship is paramount so that you feel comfortable with your carer and can build a strong lasting relationship with them. We therefore focus on care continuity to ensure that the friendly face you see every day, or week, is a familiar one.

Do the carers do regular updates after visits?

Yes, and we recognise now more than ever that all members of the family are keen to be up to date on our Homecare visits. We have recently introduced a system that is app led and enables our carers to instantly give real time updates to all key contacts with status on visits, how they went and what we did while we were there. Reassurance and updates from the team give you peace of mind every step of the way.

What is the Birdie App?

Birdie is our app based care management system. It links all of the chains in care management enabling our carers to dedicate more time to our clients. All clients, and their loved ones, have secure access to their care specific profile and care plan via the app. This enables you, or your loved ones, to keep track of all dates/times of planned care, client notes and also view the carer comments made on previous visits. You will also get live notifications on carer arrival time, should they be delayed. Please visit the Birdie section to view all of the many benefits. There is also an introduction video summarising Birdie and why we have invested in it.

How do I pay for your service?

We invoice 4 weekly and payments are made preferably by BACS. If you are unable to access online banking, we are happy to make alternative arrangements.

Where are you based?

We are based in serviced offices in Harrogate and Selby. They are accessible for you to visit with private meeting rooms on the ground floor, wheelchair access available. We are always willing to visit our client’s, and their families, in their own home.

What areas do you cover?

We provide Homecare services in Harrogate, Knaresborough, Goole, Selby, Wetherby and York. If you are looking for Homecare in another area, please contact us to discuss your needs as we will be able to help you.

Do carers wear PPE?

Yes, all of our carers wear full PPE and follow our strict safety procedures to ensure that you and they are kept safe during this troubling time.

All of our staff undertake regular training updates to ensure they are well informed on all matters regarding the health and safety of our clients.

What if I suspect I have COVID?

We ask you to notify us immediately so that we can protect the safety of our carers and other clients. We will assist you with making alternative arrangements/testing and seeking the right medical assistance.

Will my care continue if I test positive for COVID?

If you test positive for COVID we can continue your care package if you cannot manage solely on telephone prompts whilst you recover. However, our carers will be required to wear additional PPE and social distancing measures will need to be followed. Your care needs will be re-assessed and all precautions will be taken to guarantee the safety of our staff and to ensure there is no risk of cross contamination.

The safety of our carers, and all or our clients, is paramount during this time. If you suspect that you have COVID we recommend that you isolate in accordance with Government guidelines and inform us immediately so we can manage the situation.

We will do everything within our powers to limit the disruption to you and your care package.
